Former Agency Labor & Employment Trial Attorney with Federal Employment, Healthcare, & Veterans Benefits Expertise
Brandi M. Powell, Esq.
Brandi Powell is committed to helping federal employees facing discrimination, retaliation, or unfair discipline. Federal employment litigation can be overwhelming, and agencies come to the table with experienced counsel and institutional resources. Brandi believes civil servants deserve an equally skilled advocate who understands how the system works.
With nearly two decades of legal experience and more than twenty years of federal service, Brandi knows how agencies investigate, discipline, and defend their personnel decisions. As a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel, she represented VA facilities across a nine-state district in complex and high-profile litigation before the EEOC, MSPB, FLRA, and Disciplinary Appeals Board (DAB). Now an attorney with Cacciatore Legal, she uses that experience to represent federal employees, providing accessible, hands-on guidance at every stage of their case.
Brandi’s advocacy stems from her work with veterans.
Before law school, she spent seven years at the VA’s New Orleans Regional Office, counseling veterans and their families on their benefits and legal rights. She later earned her J.D. while serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Loyola Journal of Public Interest Law. A former educator with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, she has trained managers, attorneys, and agency leaders on topics from reasonable accommodation to settlement negotiation. She brings that same clarity to her clients.
